Embrace Our Differences

Hate is a word we were taught

Love is how we were born

Hate is how we were destroyed

Love is a word that holds us together

Hating a man for  how he was born

Creating conspiracy theories on his name

Always assuming not understanding

And killing just because your grandfather told you lies

Your ancestors made mistakes

Those mistakes led to this day

We are all living the bad decisions of our ancestors

If this is our life why not let go of their lies?

Love me for who I am like I love you for who you are

I don't deserve to move around with fear

Because you are not a monster

If I can see you human, why can't you see me human too?

Blame it on the father that fed you poison

Don't blame it on an innocent man trying to live his life

Blame it on the government that doesn't take action

Don't blame it on man fighting for his human rights

Let's embrace our differences

For the One who created us was not stupid

Our differences makes us beautiful and stronger

Let's spread love and live longer.

We should all embrace our differences and understand that each life matters. We are all human and we share several characteristics. Just because my skin color is different doesn't mean I am not human. Just because one phone is blue or black or white doesn't mean it doesn't function. Their difference makes them beautiful. If you can love me the way I am, at be human enough to respect me and leave me to live my life.
