Medium height
No job experience
No prestigious school
Nothing special on my name
Beautiful?I don't think so
But I am ready to love you
Only if how we applied for a job was how we applied for love
Then I'd send my resume to your heart
Hoping you'd choose me with the little resources and experience I have
I could say that all those romantic comedies made me romantic
But being romantic was part of the package I was gifted with
Otherwise writing this poem for you would have been hard
Love is like an investment, you never know whether you'll be loved back
But you take the risk and give it a chance
After all it is a risk that proved itself worthy for centuries
I hope you read my resume with care
If you accept me my contact is on the paper
But if you don't just throw it in the trash
Don't promise me the world if you don't mean it.
-Ariane Dushime
damn! i love the way you related two very different concepts; love and job application. it's so ... there isn't a word for it!
ReplyDeletethis is one of the poems I just don't understand sometimes. It feels like I could do better but I don't know what exactly
