Sunsets

Where did that childhood dream go?

I  used to see myself on a cliff lost in the sunset

Wondering when I would get to see it again

Pondering whether I'd have to drive five hours to just have a taste of its beauty

Looking at that beautiful hue

The only thing meaningful in my life

Others look at their loved one's once the sun is gone

At least they have what to hold onto until next time

All I can do is sigh, turn on the car and drive back home

At least I got a cold tub of ice creaming waiting for me

Hanging in there, baby, I am on my way.
