TO HEROES

To all the blood that was shed

Shed in the wars that should never have existed

Existed they did

And destruction was the aim

Aim to gain power over people

People who were innocent

Innocent to all those criteria that dehumanized them

To all those that had a heart

A heart to love and protect

Protect everyone no matter who they were

To all those sons and daughters

That put their lives after others'

Others who they didn't know

But all they knew was what they wanted

A country of peace

To them, we're here

And our existence is and development

A mark of their bravery.
